Default KC's Newest Job & Title

My beloved KC came to me everything a Doxie should not be ... shy, afraid, snappish, retiring. These days he is the clown, the bad boy, the ruler of all he surveys.
This week ... he has become my rock and anchor and therapist. I am so grateful for him, and wanted to brag on him!
My husband collapsed last Tuesday, and we lost him on Thursday. We have four dogs that love me ... but it has been KC who has ridden to the hospital, to the Funeral Home, to the viewing, to the funeral in KS.
He tries to steal towels I am folding to make me laugh, he snatches food I am not eating from my plate, he stays as close as he can to me. Usually, he is not much for strangers, but he has allowed person after person to approach me and pat him.
Through these dark days, having KC cuddle up to me and kiss my face is such a blessing.
    Hugz!!

I'm so sorry for your loss, Anne. We have come close to losing my husband a few times, and I can empathize with your grief and fear and anger. It will all come bubbling out, usually when we dfon't want it to.

The dogs know when we are troubled, Anne. KC is going to be right there for you if you let him. One day at a time.

Thank you all ... I am still such a puddle. My Husband was my rock, my anchor, my best friend. We complimented each other so well.
My poor Cattle Dog wants to sit on me ... peering at me -"What is wrong with you. Stoppit. I am worried and don't like it!" My husband's dog is grieving in K's chair. And KC allows me to hug him and carry him and cry on him. He steals food, 'helps' with laundry, appropriates tissues, bottle caps, anything I am not guarding. Then he snuggles in my lap.
I am so glad that the Universe sent me this little clown. I know my grandmother has something to do with it and enjoys watching him, too.
    Hugz!!

    Anne,
My prayers are with you on the loss of your husband. It must have been quite a shock, and I don't know how you are doing this well. I am so glad that you have KC to keep you busy and to keep you smiling. to you and the furbabies, TJ
