A puppy mill is a disgusting place where dogs are kept in horrible conditions so as to produce puppies that end up in most pet stores, or are sold directly from the breeder to an unsuspecting public, whether it be in person or via the Internet. They are unscrupulous in how they tout themselves as quality breeders and stores when in fact, if you were to look behind the scenes (where the puppy you are considering buying was born), you would be horrified.
