Diarrhea
Think we have all had our dogs experience this problem at one time or another. It is an increased amount of loose bowel movements that could be caused by a number of things. Unsafe drinking water, a sudden diet change, anxiety, allergies, anything eaten that is not easily digestible or something more potentially serious, like colitis (inflamation of the large intestine) or parasites. Most times this can be treated at home by eliminating their normal dog food diet and replacing with a mixture of cooked hamburg and rice, fed twice a day for 24 hours. Dogs that show signs of continued diarrhea after 24 hours, or if there is blood in the stool, should consult a veterinarian.
